About Kelly Konda

Oh crap, I totally forgot to take the tag off the suit jacket, didn’t I?

Name: Kelly Konda, Site Administrator, Editor, Writer

E-Mail: kkonda2@gmail.com

Bio: I am your standard media geek, specifically in love with film, scripted television (live action & animation), and music (including Broadway musicals).  I quite frequently engage in long, nerdy conversations about film and television that devolve into very Mystery Science Theater 3000-style mockery, even if talking about something beloved.  I have no real preference between popcorn films and challenging indies.  As for TV, I was raised on American sitcoms (so many Wings re-runs), but I now love geek TV: pop culture-aware comedies, animation, and sci-fi/fantasy genre shows. As for other areas of geekery, I am a lifelong videogame player but not active enough to be called a “gamer.”  I love a lot of films and cartoons based on comic books, but am a relatively recent convert to actual comic books.  My professional background is in research and data analysis, specifically in the field of public health.

  1. you’re a hipster, give it up. your self description alone is a dead giveaway. for fucks sake, you can’t even manage a single windsor. what you consider “nerdy” is a rehashing of only the shallowest of aspects because you’re too busy trying to be what you think you should be, that you miss anything of real substance. if felicia day and patton oswalt didn’t star in the reboot, you wouldn’t even know about mst3k. you’re a joke. live in your delusions for as long as you want, but you’re never going to be critical, nor revered for your outlook or “insight”. I don’t want to be mean, but someone had to tell you

    1. “if felicia day and patton oswalt didn’t star in the reboot, you wouldn’t even know about mst3k”

That’s not at all true, but that and your description of me as a “hipster” gives the impression that your personal attacks aren’t even really about me but instead about what you think I represent. I mean, Good Lord. You read something I wrote in 2013 and basically told me I’ve wasted my life. Then you transferred over to my “about” page and doubled down. You frame this all as you just doing the noble thing and giving tough love…to a stranger you don’t even know on the internet. I’m sorry my writing is so amateurish that it gives you a migraine, but that doesn’t mean you are somehow dutybound to tear me completely apart in pursuit of some higher ideal of “This person needs to know just how much he sucks, and clearly I have to be the person to tell him that.” You say you are a published author. Good for you. Go back to doing that and stop offering unsolicited advice to completely random people online whose articles have the misfortune of falling into your orbit.
